Support Our Tulum Jungle Sanctuary

Help us sustain our new home in the jungle — a private sanctuary for healing, transformation, and deep inner work.

What we need

After years of running retreats in rented spaces, we finally have a home for our work: a small private resort in the jungle outside Tulum is ours for the next nine months.

We got the keys at the hardest time of year — low season. All of our savings went into securing the lease, cleaning, refurbishing and getting the place ready to receive guests. We are now raising USD $33,000 to carry us through to the high season, finish setting up the place, and start a fund to make our services accessible to those who can’t afford it.

Our goal

Why Now

The owners are ready to sell. We have this place for nine months, and we do not want to spend a year building something here only to watch it all go away. Our immediate goal is getting through this season, but buying the property is what we are working toward: a permanent home for this work and the start of a bigger community. If you want to be part of that, (looking for angel investors) please write to us.

Who We Are

Lena and Olga sharing a warm moment in a hanging wicker chair under a thatched jungle pavilion

We are Lena and Olga. Between us, we have close to forty years of practice and teaching in yoga, meditation, somatic work, bodywork, psychedelic medicine and nutrition. We have helped hundreds of people over that time.

Lena spent two decades working with individuals and couples through holistic wellness, yoga, tantra, meditation, sound healing, and nutrition. She is a certified nutritional practitioner, Dharma Yoga teacher, and Tantra Kriya Yoga instructor.

Olga studied with yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra and taught full time at his New York school. From 2016 to 2024, she lived and practiced at Karma Triyana Dharmachakra Monastery in upstate New York, supporting practitioners through a traditional sealed retreat. She completed two solitary retreats herself in USA and Europe. She trained in medical science, massage therapy, and bioenergetics, studied at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, and is a trained chef.

What Happens Here

People come to us for many reasons. Some are at a turning point or moving through a hard time. Many just want to rest properly, get out of their head, and reconnect with themselves. Both are welcome. You do not need to be in crisis to come here.

We host individuals, couples, small groups, and families. Every stay is built around who is coming and what they need, rather than a fixed program. Depending on the person, this might include:

“Our 4-day personalized spiritual wellness retreat in Tulum, Mexico with Compassion Retreats was truly one of the most meaningful and beautifully held experiences of our lives. … somehow they created a space that felt equally safe, nourishing, and impactful for each of us, individually and collectively.”

How Your Contribution Helps

We are raising $33,000 to sustain operations and grow what we offer. The funds go toward:

  • Recouping our initial deposits and surviving the rest of the low season
  • Essential items for the facilities: furniture, linens, rugs, kitchenware, plants, art
  • Hiring staff for daily operations and property maintenance
  • Building our Conscious Contribution fund to subsidize stays for people facing financial hardship

About the Conscious Contribution Fund

We already price on a sliding scale. People pay what they honestly can, and it works when enough guests pay full rate and cover those who cannot. In our first year of the physical place, we do not have that cushion yet. This fund lets us accept someone who needs to be here but cannot afford it, without affecting our operations.
